ILS Tutorial – Flight Simulator X
This tutorial covers the basics of the ILS (Instrument Landing System) and IMO, the three (3) things virtual pilots need to make any ILS approach to any runway with a ILS system. I believe my “Three Numbers System” simplifies the procedure, but is enough to allow beginners and veterans to perform and successfully fly a ILS approach anywhere in the (virtual) world the ILS exists. Someone asked me not too long ago how to shoot an ILS with autopilot. So I thought I would make a video of how to conduct an ILS using the Cessna 172SP, while letting the autopilot fly. I really needed about 15 minutes to do this properly but had to cut it down to 10 minutes.. this is the best I could do. Hope it helps those who can benefit from it. Enjoy. =)
