Boeing 767 flight simulator landing at Frankfurt airport
This is my second landing in the Boeing 767 full motion flight simulator at SAS Flight Academy (Arlanda airport/Stockholm). I’m making a manual approach from 2500 feet and land at Frankfurt airport. I’m getting a hang of it and make a smooth landing for a non pilot.
+100 mean 100 feet above the decision height (minimum). If the pilot can not see the runway or are not in a stable approach at the decision height then he will issue a missed approach and go around. In this case DH was set to 200 ft, +100 called out at 300ft.

Jag tycker faktiskt det är helt ok landning då det var tredje försöket för en ikke pilot. Lägg gärna upp en video när du landar… bara att ringa SAS Flight Academy och beställa en tid.

Why? It was not a front wheel landing… I wonder how that might look. Have to try the nixt time.
Vad kostar det att “flyga” med deras simulator?
Tyvärr kostar det 3000 kr per timme inkl. instruktör. Så det är rätt dyrt.

Yes it moves, it is a Level D full motion simulator.
I did flare and it was a really smooth landing (you can hear my instructor say Snyggt=nice). Not much shaking when the main and nose wheel touchdown. I guess it is hard to see the 2.5 degree nose up, especially when the girl filming tries to hold the camera steady and the simulator is moving due to turbulence.
He’s right you didn’t flare.
Then the 767 really must be great aircraft so little shaking without a flare, thats what I call a plane.
But please upload a video so I can see how it is done.

you landed at the middle of the runway,without any problem and you think so it was a good landing??you were too high at final…

I did flare. I overshot the runway because I flared to early. The thing was, I did not expect the real simulator to be so sensitive. I thought it would react much slower than my Level D767 program.
The real 767 is a really smooth aircraft and is so sensitive to your input. This was my first landing I did get better. Im sad to say that my memory card got full so the girl stopped filming. :/
